ONE NOTEBOOK. BOTH SIDES OF THE RECORD.
Bring completed factory-ammo and handload sessions into one comparison, with each session’s smallest recorded group, chronograph statistics and environment data in view.
FACTORY AMMO
A private catalog connects product identity and lot notes to your saved rifle and test history.
HANDLOAD
Your batch record connects rifle and component details to the observations saved during its session.
Compare recorded observations, with the context behind each result. Measurements describe individual tests; they do not establish a universal best choice or certify ammunition safety.
INSIDE THE PRIVATE TEST BUILD · 1.0.0+21
Keep rifle, component, factory-ammo and equipment libraries. Enter details manually or take/import photos of factory-ammo, bullet, brass, powder or primer packaging for offline text reading. Review and correct every suggested field against the original label before saving; a scan is not a verified product identification. Prepare a handload batch or factory-ammo test, then carry the setup into an Active Session.
Enter measured chronograph velocities or import supported Garmin ShotView CSV/text and .xls exports, LabRadar series CSV, MagnetoSpeed LOG.CSV, or mapped CSV/text. Review sessions, units and individual readings before confirming. For target photos, set a known-length scale, enter distance and mark impact centers to calculate group measurements, MOA and MRAD. Manual target-result entry remains available.
Keep a private Factory Ammo catalog with product identity and lot notes. Start factory-ammo tests with a saved rifle, then compare completed factory and handload sessions side by side in Results & History using your own measured observations.
Rifles, catalogs, batches, range observations, targets and history stay usable offline. Save drafts and resume Active Sessions. Portable export and restore let you keep recovery copies; exports contain private unencrypted logbook data, so choose private storage and review carefully before restoring.
Sign in and confirm logbook ownership to sync private records and supported photos between your own devices. Sync needs internet access and does not publish to Community. Automatic checks run while the app’s Home screen is open and pause during editing or conflicts. Review conflicting copies rather than assuming an automatic merge. Anyone using an unlocked device can open its local logbook.
Browse Feed or Following, join discussions, like posts and follow replies in the in-app Replies inbox. You can attach one optional target photo to a discussion or performance post. Choose the content, review it and select Publish; private logbook records remain separate from published copies. Publishing requires a verified email and unrestricted account. Members can report content and block authors; reports enter a moderation review queue.
EXPLORE COMMUNITY EXPERIENCE
Filter Community factory-ammo and handload results by your saved rifle, then narrow them by the recorded cartridge and test details. Rifle & Results Comparison uses recorded manufacturer, model and cartridge identity; it does not predict performance.
Data is user-submitted, not manufacturer verified. Results vary by firearm, ammunition lot, components, dimensions, conditions, shooter and test method.
Community performance data is User-submitted · Not verified and not manufacturer verified. Results vary by firearm, ammunition lot, components, dimensions, conditions, shooter and test method. Reports and moderation do not verify performance, certify safety or recommend ammunition. ShotDyno records observations; Community results, charge weights and app examples are not loading instructions. Independently follow current published reloading manuals and component/firearm manufacturers’ instructions.

ANDROID BETA · INVITATION REQUESTS
ShotDyno LLC is preparing a small, invited Android beta through Google Play. Leave your Google-account email so we can contact you when testing is ready.
This is an invitation request, not an app account or download. Requests do not guarantee selection or grant Google Play access. iOS TestFlight is planned after organization enrollment; no release date has been announced.
Use the email you sign in to Google Play with; it does not have to end in @gmail.com. Device details are optional.
A CONNECTED RECORD

Ready to Test and Active Sessions connect preparation with locally saved range observations, chronograph readings and environment data.
Results & History brings completed sessions, target photos and measured comparisons back into view.
ABOUT THE DEVELOPMENT BUILD
You can request an Android beta invitation now. Requests are reviewed; they do not automatically grant access. Public downloads are not open. Selected testers will receive confirmed Google Play instructions when the test is ready.
No. This site describes the ShotDyno 1.0.0+21 private test build. Android testing and preparation for Google Play beta access continue. Features and screens may change, and no release date has been announced.
No. Factory Ammo has its own catalog and testing records. Completed factory-ammo and handload sessions can appear together in measured comparisons in Results & History.
Build 21 has an Android testing package and an iOS development build for private testing. Google Play beta access is being prepared first, followed by iOS through TestFlight. Neither store beta can currently be downloaded through this site. Android invitation requests are open; confirmed access instructions will be sent to selected testers when testing is ready.
The core range notebook is local-first: rifle and component records, batches, Active Sessions, targets and history work offline. Account services, private sync and Community require internet access.
No. Optional private sync does not publish to Community. You choose what to share, review it and select Publish before it becomes visible to signed-in members. Members can report content and block authors. Your local logbook is accessible to anyone using your unlocked device.
Chronograph readings can be entered manually or imported from supported Garmin ShotView CSV/text/.xls, LabRadar series CSV, MagnetoSpeed LOG.CSV or mapped CSV/text. Environment observations, target-photo scale and impact marks are entered manually. Review imported and photo-derived values against the original source. Direct wireless/FIT connections, .xlsx import, automatic weather lookup and automatic impact detection are not current features.
Community-submitted factory-ammo and handload results, filtered using your saved rifle’s recorded manufacturer, model and cartridge. You can narrow results by additional recorded details. Data is user-submitted, not manufacturer verified. Results vary by firearm, ammunition lot, components, dimensions, conditions, shooter and test method. Reports and moderation do not certify performance or safety.
Portable export and restore are available in the beta candidate. Exports contain private unencrypted logbook data; keep them in private storage. Review the source and destination before restoring, retain wanted recovery copies and avoid overwriting newer work. Restoring replaces the destination’s local logbook, retains a recovery copy and disables automatic sync. Private sync and restore do not automatically merge conflicting logbooks.
